To then have the MC return to end the battle and say some interesting stuff plot-wise to then again get some chapters of "story building" that are actually over-explaining things that are mentioned in the background of the main story in case slow readers didn't get it. When we are thinking about dropping it they usually get him acting badass, just to randomly get various chapters without him.
